The Eagle's Cage-Prolouge

      I was free. The wind in my feathers,the sun to my back. Nothing held me to the earth,unlike my brothers. They could never truly be free. They were bound to destiny by their pasts. My past had no faults. I did not even know love. i was a loner and had no interest in the opposite gender,unlike Shartala,who was always flirting with different women. I have never felt betrayal. Kashyrr,my youngest brother,has however. His love,whom he never speaks of,is a mystery,but when he thinks of her,his amber eyes are filled with a strange regret and sadness. I am like an eagle,free and proud. My narrow,all-seing eyes were bright and I let out a clear,harsh call. I was freedom personified. and I intend to stay that way.
